You will be picked up by an open-air truck “safari-style” and once arrived at the ranch will be greeted by the tour guides. After receiving brief safety instructions, the adventure starts. You will have a great time driving through the mud and trying the local coffee and cocoa.
You will get very dirty, totally covered in mud. You’ll swim in a really cool cave and go to Macao beach which is so beautiful. These two stops are definitely the best part of this excursion. The tour it’s around 4/5 hours of time including the hotel transfer. You get to see the real Dominican country side. This tour is extremely enjoyable and a great learning experience and its guaranteed fun.

Wear clothes you don’t care about. Bring a bandanna to cover your face (or you can buy one at the ranch for 5 dollars) and sunglasses too. Bring also some extra money for tips and souvenirs. If you are not interested in buying anything maybe you could ask them to take some pictures of you and give them a small tip. They will be very happy anyway. For some people I’m sure it will be very annoying but this tour claims to show you the real country and vendors are definitely a reality in Dominican Republic. You just need to be able to say no, be firm and make it clear you’re not interested.

With this tour you’ll get to see a part of the country you wouldn’t normally see at your hotel and you will learn a lot about life in the island. A fun filled day for those searching for a ” down and dirty” ride to see the natural beauty of the Dominican Republic. Have a safe trip!!
